Ambulatory Care

Healthcare systems are beginning to focus more on helping patients avoid hospitalization and moving care delivery to more appropriate and lower cost settings. A majority of systems report that they will move more treatment to outpatient facilities, build new outpatient facilities, and renovate existing hospital space to repurpose it for outpatient use.

A large portion of Phoenix’s historical workload has been the design and construction of ambulatory care facilities. Phoenix has built hundreds of outpatient diagnostic imaging centers throughout the country, and dozens of outpatient radiation oncology facilities such as Garden State and Premier Urology centers in New Jersey, NYU Winthrop Hospital’s Cyberknife Center in Manhattan, and Veterans Affairs Centers in Bay Pines & West Palm Beach, FL and Jackson, MS.

Responding to the trend to move more treatment to outpatient facilities, Phoenix is performing more and varied ambulatory care projects, such as the recently completed 30,000 SF Valley Hospital Medical Building in Wayne, NJ and the 8,000 SF Meridian Health Endoscopy Center in Neptune.
