Oncology Addition and Renovation

Monmouth Medical Center was fortunate to receive a financial gift from a grateful patient to be used to upgrade its cancer treatment center, adding space, including a third treatment bunker for the installation of a TomoTherapy system. The project was particularly challenging because portions of the addition took place in an “in-fill” location with many existing underground utilities, high voltage electrical gear, the hospital’s emergency generator and similar infrastructure around which new foundations and plumbing systems were required. This was the first phase of a two phase project which when finished will make the cancer center not only technologically superior, but also a beautiful place for patient treatment.
