This 30,000 lb. key piece of equipment is vital to delivering radiation therapy to cancer patients. The Varian TruBeam Linear Accelerator is the most high-tech model on the market, which offers clinicians multiple treatment options.

Phoenix has a deep, long-standing relationship with RWJBarnabas Health that spans over two decades. For this project, we were hired on a design-build basis to expedite this radiation oncology project in only 2 ½ months time. Phoenix worked closely with the Varian Medical Systems installation crew to seamlessly meet the owner’s specific schedule. We diligently handled the design as well as the construction aspect of this technically complex project, which included working double shifts. We had to maintain strict adherence to ICRA regulations while working in an active oncology unit beside several other LINAC’s. Lastly, we had to have complete coordination with the doctors, nurses and staff in this area to make sure patient comfort and care was top priorities.
