Pediatric Patient Care Unit (PEDS) Wing
Bethlehem Campus
The renovation of this 8,500 SF, 17-bed pediatric wing was such an honor to complete! It included state of the art technology, vibrant colorful artwork/paint and child conducive & comfortable amenities. We created an interactive children’s activity room, in room full private bathrooms, a specific overnight area in each room for parents/caregivers and added multiple tv’s in each room.
The wing features soothing ocean themed artwork throughout with a soft color palette background enhanced with color changing LED lights in both the patient rooms & public corridors. The goal of this upgrade is to help ease the stress and anxiety for the children admitted. Additionally, focusing on the staff’s needs, we created ample work areas, a modern nurse call system, medication dispensary facilities, and support space designed around healthy ergonomics and efficient workflow. Other key features include:
- Energy efficient and color changing LED mode lighting
- Enhanced in-room lighting control for patient comfort and exam procedures
- Interactive “kid friendly” displays
- Multiple in-room TV and display monitors
- State of the Art IT / technology backbone using both wired and wireless technology to support enhanced patient diagnostic monitoring and telemetry
- Laser cut graphic inlay LVT flooring
- Full, in-patient toilet / shower facilities
- Enhanced HVAC and temperature control system to compliment patient comfort
- Open activity spaces that promotes a fun patient experience while allowing medical staff to ensure patient safety and monitoring
